Taking the Tour of Bucharest

Shopping in Bucharest

After this tiresome walk, you can relax by engaging in other types of activities. You can choose to go shopping for your loved ones in one of the main stores located in the city. Bucharest Mall, Plaza Romania, Unirea Shopping Center, City Mall are only a few of the places where you can search for inspired souvenirs to take back home with you.

Parks in Bucharest

If you are not the shopping type, there is no need to panic. Maybe you feel the need for a breath of fresh air in a peaceful environment. In this case, you can find your escape in one of the public gardens situated in Bucharest. Cismigiu, Herastrau, Tineretului are only a few of the places where you can get away from the hectic life of the city.

Romanian Food

You can wrap up your day by visiting one of the traditional restaurants in town. Here you will get the chance of trying various Romanian dishes, such as “ciorba” (a sort of soup), “mamaliga” (polenta), “sarmale” (meat wrapped in cabbage leaves), ardei umpluti (stuffed bell peppers), “ciulama” (white sauce stew) or “mititei” (grilled minced-meat rolls). You will surely be welcomed by hospitable people who will do their best so that you can fully enjoy yourself in a cheerful, warm and relaxing atmosphere.

No matter if you are passionate about arts, history, traditional cuisine or just a “shop till you drop” adept, you will definitely be entertained in Bucharest. The places presented here are only a small part of the wonderful things the town has to offer you. All you have to do is come see for yourself!
