Sinaia
PLACES TO STAY
The trip in the mountains is for adventure seekers. If you like the mountain but you get enough just by looking at it, the small city of Sinaia offers you great accommodation, from luxurious hotels to traditional houses. There is something for each taste and each pocket. There’s something about the mountain that will keep you coming back, probably the peace that floats in the air or the greatness of it all…
Due to its location, many destinations can be easily reached from Sinaia. Beinon a linking road between Transylvania and Wallachia, you can very easily reach Brasov, a very beautiful city which still maintains its medieval atmosphere, along with the modern one. Once you are there, you can also visit the Bran Castle, legendarily known as Dracula’s Castle, and Rasnov Fortress, the oldest medieval fortress in the area.
MUST SEE
Sinaia hosts many cultural events during the year. While visiting, you must not miss The Royal Casino and the George Enescu Memorial House. The Monastery, The Ghica Park and the museum within, At the Royal Casino, each May a Classic Guitar festival is held and an International Violin Competition, in Enescu’s memory, where all young violin players are invited.
Wildlife, culture, adventure, tranquility, fresh air, mountain, river, forest. Music, nightlife, good food… A walk to remember!
