Cluj Napoca
Cluj Napoca is one of Romania’s most beautiful cities. A big city that offers you many things to do, places to see, and stills preserves the peaceful life of a small town. Until 1974 Cluj was the third largest city in Romania and the seat of
Cluj County in north-western Transylvania – and still is today. Geographically, it is
roughly equally distant from Bucharest (426 km), Budapest (397 km) and
Belgrade (455 km).
Cluj Napoca was the capital of the legendary Transylvania, the first thing that comes to anyone’s mind when someone mentions something about Romania.
In Romania, people are different from one region to another. There’s a say between us, that people from Transylvania are special. And I think it’s true, you can easily tell that. Because of the many years of deep communism, Romania still suffers, people are too conservative and too of anything that is new and may rock they world up. Of course, this is a generalization, not all Romanians are like this. It was admitted that, among Romanians, people who living Transylvania are more open minded. This is one of the things that make Cluj such a great city to live in, and also to visit.
Falling in love with Cluj
The city spreads out from St. Michael's Church in Unirii Square, built in the 14th century and named after the Archangel Michael the patron saint of Cluj-Napoca. The boundaries of the municipality contain a relatively small area, of 179.52 square kilometers (69.31 sq mi). According to real estate experts, because of infrastructure development, places such as Feleacu, Vâlcele, M?rtine?ti, Jucu and Baciu will eventually become neighborhoods of the city, thereby enlarging its area. This phenomena has become very frequent not only among the big cities of our country, but also in the smaller towns, situated in regions where tourism is the most important way in earning money.
Today, the city is one of the most important academic, cultural, industrial and business centres in Romania. Among other institutions, it hosts the largest university in the country,The Babe?-Bolyai University, the famous botanical garden, the most beautiful from our country; nationally renowned cultural institutions; as well as the largest Romanian-owned commercial bank.

Hi, I’m travelling from Spain to Rumania on the 2nd of November. I’m arriving Bucarest and looking for a Route visiting Brasov, Sibiu, Sighisoara and Cluj Napoka… 7 days for all.
Do you thik is a good travel or I have to change something…
I.m travelling alone so I want to have clear ideas for me not to loose to many time if it’s not interesting…
