Boogie – One Movie, an Universal Story

The Journey Back to Reality

The night spent with his old friends stands as closure to probably the most beautiful time in life. Boogie faces it with resignation: he knows things are never going to be the same again. Everything is just a pale reminder of how things used to be.

His last night out with the guys is his way of dealing with the inevitable: parting from his early youth and taking the irreversible first step towards maturity. He returns to his family, to his current life, to his frustrations and missed opportunities.

“Boogie” is a movie that talks about love, miscommunication, friendship, nostalgia, obligation. I doubt that there is even one person who left the cinema without having related with at least one of the themes presented in this picture.

“Boogie” Worldwide Recognition

The movie enjoyed worldwide recognition. It was presented at prestigious film festivals such as Cannes and Karlovy Vary and won the Special Jury Award in the 10th edition of the European Cinema Festival in Essone, France. The representative of the jury, Eric Dalizon, justified the jury’s choice by praising the movie’s “force and simplicity”. The cast of “Boogie” includes Anamaria Marinca, Dragos Bucur, Vlad Muntean, Roxana Iancu si Geanina Varga. We owe the screenplay to Alexandru Baciu, Radu Muntean and Razvan Radulescu.

I am Boogie. And so are you. Go watch it!
