Romanian balneary and climatic resorts
Romania has important mineral water and thermal resources (almost 70% of the balnear potential of Europe), one of which has unique characteristics. The use of these waters in the balnear treatment began in Roman times when the waters’ special therapeutic effects from Herculane and Geoagiu were recognized. The balnear tourism developed over time with balneoclimateric resorts in which are thermal and mineral waters, therapeutic mud and salines. In the newer resorts, you will find beauty centers, fitness, sauna and relaxing massages. There are also other balneoclimateric resorts situated in mountain or plain regions with spectacular landscapes where you can enjoy long and invigorating walks.
All in all, you can combine relaxation with natural therapy thus making your vacation one that you’re unlikely to ever forget.
NATURAL HEALTH TREATMENTS
The mineral waters and the thermal ones, (as well as the therapeutic mud) have therapeutic qualities that help treat some afflictions, such as: breathing difficulties, rheumatics, cardio-vascular, gynecological, dermatological etc. The most of the balnear treatments are realized in the specialized centers under the watchful eye of some well-trained doctors, using modern techniques. Such a vacation lasts between 14 and 20 days, and at the end of it you will feel the beneficial effects and the desire to come again.
The balneoclimateric resorts are the most important on this touring circuit, largely because of the holistic benefits and those associated with pure rest and relaxation.
